Canon ACK 900 Camera AC Adapter
Strengths: Provides DC power to the camera.
Weakness: Uses "dummy" battery in place of real battery meaning one more thing to carry.
This is an external power supply for the Canon PowerShot SD500 digital camera. By using this power supply when connecting the camera to a computer for image uploading or to a television when playing back images, the camera battery is not used. The power supply works exactly as advertised. To use the power supply, remove the camera battery and insert the "dummy" battery included with the power supply. Close the battery compartment and open the DC coupler terminal cover. Plug the power supply into the wall outlet and connect it to the camera. Turn on the camera that is now powered externally.
