Great camera
Strengths: Small & stylish, large LCD screen, internal zoom
Weakness: none
This an awesome camera! I have gotten many compliments on how small and stylish it is. It can easily slip into your pocket. The camera takes wonderful pictures, which can be easily be reviewed on the large LCD screen on the back. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a compact camera.

Great little sexy camera..
Strengths: Tiny size, great looks and design
Weakness: None so far..
I bought this camera for my wife and it has been very impressive. Tiny, go anywhere size combined with sexy looks makes it perfect...

A great camera for your pocket
Strengths: Small - light weight - easy to use
Weakness: Battery must be charged outside of camera
I'm a pretty serious photographer and I always love to have a camera with me where ever I go - including scrambling up difficult terrain. As soon as I had the T5 in my hands I fell in love with it. It felt well built and there is a lot of engineering behind the design. I needed a camera that would fit comfortably in my pocket. I was just expecting a simple good quality point and shoot camera - however after a few days exploring all it's features - I found that this is much more of a camera than I expected - but also extremely simple to use.
The LCD screen is remarkable - I can actually use it under bright sunlight. While on the side of a cliff hanging on for dear life with one hand, my other hand can take out the camera, turn it on, frame the picture, and even tweek the exposure - that is if I feel there is the need -using the on screen histogram. Doing all this under full sunlight! Another surprise was it's movie quality - full 30 fps DV quality! It looks super on my TV screen. But make sure you have a 1 gig card - it takes up memory fast. Then I discovered it's super macro 'magnify' mode, getting shots as close as 1 cm from the lens! I could go on and on - This camera has more to it than I can give you here. It doesn't give me the quality I get from my heavy SLR but certainly good enough for those photos I would have never captured otherwise. I highly recommend this camera for the pro or for the busy mom with her hands full trying to herd the family through Disneyland. She can take good quality photos or capture good quality video - and she won't have to squint or shade the LCD screen from the sun.

Better quality than sony T33
Strengths: Better shot quality than T33,slim shape, light weight
Weakness: haven't found yet
I got this sony T5 as a replacement of my T33 which got a red pixel on LCD after two weeks of usage. Night shot quality of the T33 is very disappointed. However, this sony T5 seems to have improved night shot quality. Usually seen night shot blur in T33 is greatly reduced. And don't forget how thin this camera is and how light weight it is. All other features looks very similar to T33, but thiner and lighter. It also has a movable front cover which made turn on and off the camera a breeze. I almost forgot this camera didn't come with a camera base or camera dock like T33 has but I think those docks are unnecessary and bring you a lot of wires. The only confusion it made to me is when I first opened the box. I didn't see the memory duo. Later, I figured out this T5 use internal memory duo. Overall, this camera is very good for its price.

A very handy and stylish camera
Strengths: stylish appearance, handy shoot mode and easy control
Weakness: shoot quality is among average
I saw sony DSC T7 in officedepot but I found sony DSC T5 is more beautiful and stylish. There is no need to mention its thickness and light weight. But I have to say this camera just fit my hand and easy for me to hold it stable to have better shoot quality. Of course I know this camera can not stand in line with those professional camera. But who cares with such a small camera! It's very portable and has a stamina battery life. Movie clip quality is fair in low light but you can shoot as long as you have space on your memory stick duo. Unlike canon G2 I have, I have to stop every 30secs to start a new clip. I used it for three weeks, so far so good.

A slim and stylish camera with high quality results
Strengths: Compact, stylish, light-weight, easy-to-use
Weakness: Better have a spare battery
Actually I received this T5 as a gift, and was really thrilled when I get it. The compact design fits my needs since I could carry it in my purse everywhere I go (and the stylish look makes everyone jealous of it). The large 2.5" LCD screen is really helpful and I also adore the inside lens since it will only takes a second to open the camera and snap it. This camera is also very easy-to-use, I learn it only in a few minutes. And the result is just great for such a tiny camera... after all, it's a Sony!

Excellent product
Strengths: Small and lightweight. Long battery life, excellent picture and video quality. Ease of use. FAST focus and shot.
Weakness: Can't zoom in and out while taking video.
The color seems more robust than my 7.1 MP Digital Nikon Coolpix 7600. The screen is large and spectacular. Image quality on the screen is very crisp and clear. Great ease of use for nighttime and dark light shots. Love it.

DSC-T5 Review
Strengths: Small, compact, stylish, good image for a compact camera
Weakness: Costly
DSC-T5 provide small internal storage to get you started but you sure need a DUO memory card in order to get your camera working. The camera takes good image with its high quality lens. Able to zoom in with great detail and minimal blurr. Does a good job especially taking photos of something with text in comparison to other camera of the same level. Very compact and stylish so you would like to bring it everywhere you go. A good buy while it is costly. I think DSC-T5 is an improvement to DSC-T7 although it is just slightly heavier, battery life last longer and you get internal storage instead of a small DUO card that you wont even need. The price is also cheaper than DSC-t7. Would recommend if you want to buy a compact camera from sony

Great camera
Strengths: Sharpness and weight
Weakness: Downloading pictures with Windows 98 is short of a hassle. It is better with XP.
The camera is sleek looking and the screen provides a wow factor. Pictures are extremely sharp and the video feature is really nice. The only problem I've had so far is that is a hassle downloading with Win 98 instead XP. Other than that it is a great camera.

Not so great Camera
Strengths: Compactiblity and great lcd screen size.
Weakness: Red Eye Reduction isn't great.Lcd screen is not very clear.Doesn't take good pictures in low light cond.Doesn't take action shots at all.
Basically I have always owned a Kodak.Always going against my better judgement b/c I am a Sony man all the way. This camera is not good for indoor shots or shots where you are taking pictures of young family members(1-5yrs of age)As far as this I have tried two different types of Sony digital cameras and I am very dissatified witht the digital camera line all together.

Awesome style!!
Strengths: Slick style, light-weight, crisp & crystal clear pictures!
Weakness: None so far.
I've been waiting to own a digital camera that is small and light enough to put in my purse, yet at the same time, has high-quality imaging functions. I actually wanted a DSC-T1 at first, but when I saw this one, I wouldn't mind having it, especially when it is so reasonably priced. I will enjoy this camera for a long time!

Sony Cybershot DSC-t5
Strengths: Small and easy to use
Weakness: Poor quality of pictures. The pictures are often blurry and out of focus.
I do not recommend this camera. The best thing about it is the way it looks. The picture quality is very poor and the zoom is minimal. We have missed some very important photo oppurtunities having four small children.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5 Digital Camera Review
At the beginning of the year, Sony announced that it would release its new models with bigger LCD screens, more resolution, and at least some internal memory. The company’s promises are materialized in the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5, which offers all of those features in a sleek and skinny camera body. The T5 follows other Sony T-series digital cameras with its 0.8-inch thick body size and...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5
Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T5 is yet another exciting subcompact digital camera, with a slim profile and a wealth of features. I love the return of the big sliding lens cover, something the T33 lacks. The DSC-T5 has good image quality, with good color, and high resolution. Its image sharpness and noise levels aren't quite up to the level of the best full-sized 5-megapixel cameras out there, but...

DCRP Review: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5 is an ultra thin camera best suited to outdoor photos -- just like the other T-series cameras that I've reviewed. It takes good quality photos in those situations and camera performance is very good. In lower light conditions you may be frustrated by a weak flash and an LCD display that can be difficult to see.
