Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Compact Size and Backwards Compatibility

Weakness: Cost

Similar to the previous reviewer, I was forced to purchase this memory stick for use with my Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 Digital camera (which only came with a 32mb card). I must admit the price was a bit steep, but I am happy with the performance. By far the best aspect is that it comes with an adapter so that it can be "transformed" into a regular memory stick in order to be backwards compatible.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Great amount of storage for a phone. No problem and ease of use.

Weakness: - N/A -

I have been using this memory for a few days and it has given me no problem at all. I used it on my Sony Ericsson P900 cell phone and it automatically detects it.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Biggest (128mb) I could get

Weakness: Too small for many mp3's

I bought a new Sony-Ericsson S710 cell phone which plays mp3's with stereo headphones and has a 1.3 megapixel camera. I wanted to get the largest Memory Stick I could put in the phone so I could get more songs and photos on it. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Memory Stick Pro Duo, only memory Stick Duo (that fine print buried in the manual). But then again, the 128mb card is better than the 32mb one it came with. The Sony card works fine, and with the $5 rebate, is actually cheaper than the other/off brand. It slipped right in where the old one was in the phone. Still wish I could've gotten a 1 gig card, though!

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Fast, size and sony quality

Weakness: Cost compared to other brands

I have been using this item in my DSC-T1 and have had absolutely no problems; it is backwards compatable with my CLIE PDA and other original memory stick devices...

Overall I have been very pleased with this purchase!

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: I enjoyed taking pictures with it.

I am very pleased with the product and I will always use sony as my only product. But I wish the prices would go down on these memory sticks. They can be very costly.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Good Fit & Small Size

Weakness: None

It has an adaptor which enables this product to fit in other things as well. As thi sis small it can go to Video Camera and with the adaptor can be used in other size as well. Good Quality.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: None

Weakness: Would not work in my equipment.

The memory sticks were not recognized in my devices, a Sony DCR-TRV740 and an HP PhotoSmart 7350. Suggestions to format the sticks also failed in both devices. When I ordered what was supposed to be the identical part direct from Sony, I got the MSH-128A instead of the MSH-128N, and it worked fine. Turns out the 128N version was made for sale in Japan and would not work in devices made for sale in the US?

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: My device only works with DUO (so there is no other choice)

Weakness: 256 MS DUO PRO is even cheaper than this. $$$ 128M SD or CF can be bought at $0 (after rebat) or 10 , 15 bucks. And this thing costs 2 , 3 times the price ot that.

I think anyone buy 128 MS DUO (the non-pro version) is because their devices don't support the DUO PRO.

I still don't understand why DUO PRO 256 can be cheaper than this DUO 128.

Unfortunately, non-Sony brand such as LEXAR or Sandisk DUO 128 is about the same price as the SONY brand too.

I guess that's the "price" one has to pay for the "Sony Style".

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Compact, Fast and Backward Compatibility

Weakness: Pricy compare to other same size digital media.

I've several Sony products which uses the new Duo Memory Stick Media. It is great to swap them around for use as well as transfering files to my computer. I am also glad that it is also backward compatible with my older Sony products which uses the original Memory Stick.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Extremely compact, high speed, memory stick duo adaptor.

Weakness: Cost

I had to purchase this Memory Stick Duo to use with my Sony Camcorder DCR-HC40 because the camcorder only came with an 8mb memory stick. I like this high speed memory stick except for the price.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Sony brand great price fast shipping

Weakness: the adapter tends to stuck in the card reader that comes with sony ericsson cell phone. you have to pull harder to get it out, otherwise, you get the memory stick DUO out, but not the adapter.

Sony 128MB Memory Stick Duo

Strengths: Compact & widely compatiable.

Weakness: Cost of buying pure Sony.

I bought this at the same time I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 Digital camera. I was finally glad to see Sony offering a memory option with this camera that is widely compatable and other suppliers offer making similar memory type. As well as allowing me and easy way to get data off the card and onto my PC. All works well and speedy!
