Nikon EH-62A Power Adapter for Digital Camera

Strengths: OEM AC adaptor for the Nikon 3700 Coolpix, goos quality as you would expect from Nikon

Weakness: bulky. Have to open the battery compartment of the camera and slide the adaptor in the battery slot.

Bought this product to use when the camera is connected to the PC to download pictures. The product works but is bulky and you have to leave the battery door open.
If you have your camera connected to the PC a lot this would be a product to consider buying because your battery won't discharge as quickly. Considering the price and the value however, buying an extra battery would be a wiser investment.

Strengths: Quality cabling.

Weakness: Much larger than necessary.

This AC adapter has the quality you'd expect from Nikon. However, the design choices, in the 3700, made AC power an afterthought. A flimsy plug on the battery/memory card door must hang open while using the adapter. Because of this and its bulkiness I'd rate it a 4 out of 10.

Nikon EH-62A Power Adapter for Digital Camera

Strengths: Robust high quality construction.What you would expect from Nikon.

Weakness: Somewhat ungainly design. Could have been made more compact.

I purchased the EH-62 AC adapter to use with my Nikon Coolplex 5200 camera when downloading pictures to my computer,viewing in-camera images on my TV and for in- camera editing of pictures after a photo shoot. My intent was to eliminate drain on the camera's battery while performing these tasks at a leisurly pace. This allows me to have maximum battery power for shooting away from home. The adapter works flawlessly for my intended purposes and I am very pleased with it.

Strengths: As expected from Nikon - excellent quality and performs well

Weakness: Bulky

The adapter does not plug in, it has a battery replacement unit which makes it a little bulky to use. Previous reviewer stated that the battery door cannot be closed with the adapter in place. I did not find this to be the case. There is a small door in the battery door for the cord to exit when the adapter is in place. The average user will probably be better served by a second battery and a card reader, instead of the adapter. If you have a real need for an AC adapter during operation it works great.
