Great device - works as advertised
Strengths: Plug it in and it works
Weakness: PC-side cable is too short
A great device. It just works-plug it in then plug in your camera, printer, mouse, GPS, and more. Perfect for travel, as it is so small and lite. I no longer carry a phone or GPS charger when I travel, as I can charge both from my laptop with this device. Have used it on both Mac's and PC's with no problems.
The only way to make it better would be to make the cords (especially the PC-side cable) longer. My present laptop has all the USB ports on the left. I want to use a mouse (that has a very short cord) on the right of the computer, and it does not work with the computer's USB port. This cable acts as an extender, but is still a little short. Also, for desktop units with only rear-mounted USB ports, longer cable(s) would make it a lot easier to use.
One of the best things about this device is that it easily allows you to plug-in multiple USB devices that are wider than the spacing of USB ports on your computer, a common problem. All-in-all, a great USB hub-highly recommended!
