Pricey but Worth It
Strengths: Simple, Fully Customizable
Weakness: Expensive
I held off on buying this for a long time saying, "That is one ridiculously overpriced piece of junk." However, at some point, all macro photographers realize that they need more light. To get a sharper photo, you have to stop down the lens. Unfortunately, when you stop down the lens, you need much more light. Enter Canon's ring lite. When in auto mode, the ring lite is brain dead simple to operate. Just attach it, point, and shoot. For more advanced work, everything about how the flash might operate can be adjusted. Once you get over the sticker shock (which you should've done when you bought a dSLR in the first place), you'll wonder how you lived without this before.
Also, I don't know why the title says G2. It's really for any Canon dSLR and macro lens.
