MS-MT8G - Successor To MSX-M8GS
Strengths: Fast Write Speed of 32Mbps, Storage Size
Weakness: High price compared to other non-proprietary media cards.
I purchased this card to use with my Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder. With the camcorder set at the highest quality setting of AVCHD 16M(FH), it holds about 1 hour of video. The write speed is faster then the older cards at 32Mbps minimum and 160Mbps maximum in parallel transfer. I copied a couple video clips from the internal hard drive to the card and it transfered in a few seconds. Note - To use the card in your camcorder, you first have to format it in the camcorder.

The package includes the memory card and Memory Stick Duo Adapter, but no case. This card has the "MARK2" logo on it, which signifies that it is suitable for high speed recordings required by AVCHD camcorders. It is the successor to the MSX-M8GS Pro Duo Card and was produced in a joint effort with SanDisk. Although it is labelled as 8GB it actually holds about 7.35GB of data.

For PSP or VAIO users, here are the notes that are enclosed in the package:
> PSP - Can't be used with software version 2.8 or older. You will have to update to the latest software.
> VAIO - Can be used with any VAIO launched after 2007. Can be used with models made at the end of 2005 thru 2006, if you update your VAIO.
