Pentax Remote Control "F" for All IQ Zoom Cameras

Strengths: small, easy to use

Weakness: none.

The remote control is very small and light. It only has one button. You can only set shuttle release option on the camera (immediate or 3 sec), not using the remote.

I don’t see any battery door, but it has three screws. I don't know if the battery is replaceable. I'll open it up when the battery is out.

Small, light and easy to use, it easily fits in (almost) any small digital camera case by lying flat underneath the camera if required. The battery (CR 1620) IS replaceable, but you have to remove two small screws and carefully separate the two halves of the unit - but take care, the small circuit board is then loose and thus vulnerable. Handle with care by the edges and note the orientation of the old battery before replacing it by sliding it out of its "cradle". However, this is not an operation you should need to do often - I've had my remote for 3 years and it's still going strong...

Cute and Tiny, but Good Working!!

Strengths: portable, fast response, good shape.

Weakness: Not yet except somebody may feel it is too small.

It works up to 15 feet in front of the camera.
I strongly recommend you to buy real one instead of fake one in ebay. I just bought this one $ 15 in Sigma4***.com

Remote control

Strengths: Small (really tiny) and stores in the K10D battery grip. This thing works from in front of and behind the lens.

Weakness: Shutter release only, no other features.

My last camera was a canon G1 with a remote and once you have used a remote you are hooked. It opens up endless photography options otherwise missed. One of the deciding factors on buying the Pentax K10D DSLR was this tiny remote. Believe me when I say don’t leave home without it.
