Nikon D3200

Crutchfield has collected 3 user reviews for this product with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5 stars. The most recent reviewer said, "I've been a photography enthusiast for the past 22 years. My first camera, a hand-me-down from my father, was a fully manual 35mm SLR. I've been shooting digitally exclusively now for the past 12 years, however, this Nikon D3200 is my first digital SLR and I have owned it now for six weeks. I would recommend this camera to three main categories of users: (1) Photography enthusiasts who want more resolution, more settings, and more versatility (choosing different lenses, filters, and flashes, etc.) than a point-and-shoot, (2) Semi-pro photographers - while it is considered an entry-level DSLR, this camera, with the right accessories such as a bigger telephoto lens and a quality speedlight flash, has high enough resolution and the ability to make some or most of your setting manually that it is good enough to be used by a semi-professional photographer, and (3) I read a bunch of professional photographer forums before I bought this camera. It turns out that a good number of full-fledged pros are carrying the D3200 in their bags as a backup camera due to its 24 MP resolution and very reasonable price. Pros need to have a quality backup in case their main camera malfunctions. Also, this camera can shoot video at full 1080p resolution at either 24 fps (for a cinematic look) or at 30 fps (for a video camera look)."

Not worth waiting for

There are serious limitations on available lenses. AF-S is required for auto-focus AF will not do. You are limited to short lenses if you don't have $6000+ to spend. Nikon's currently shipping 80-400mm is AF so there is no auto-focus. For wildlife photogr

Fantastic Value For The Money,

Image quality is just wonderful! I have been very favorably impressed with the camera in terms of the final image product that it produces. Even the 18-55mm lens, at F/8 turns out really great images. Put on some really sharp glass and the image quality j

DCRP Review: Nikon D3200

If you're looking for an entry-level digital SLR that's very easy to use, look no further than the Nikon D3200. It takes nice-looking photos (just keep an eye on the exposure), offers a feature set that'll please consumers (and maybe a few enthusiasts), and it's small and light enough to carry around every day. It's not a great choice for the more hardcore user, due to the lack of bracketing and...

Nikon D3200 Review

Affordable and easy to use, the Nikon D3200 really doesn't disappoint, providing a small body, improved controls, and a remarkably high-resolution 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor. We found it capable and pleasantly quiet to shoot, and it's still easy to recommend to novice or advanced amateur alike. We wish the lens stood up a little better to the high-resolution sensor, but we think most family...
