Tiny super remote conrol
Strengths: super small size, very functional and responsive
Weakness: no manual included, have to change battery by service center
I was truly surprised the size of this remote(about 2x1 inch). First of all, I thought it was broken because it didn't blink or respond. However, I look through the my Optio 750z manual and set the camera in remote mode, then it start working perfectly. The zooming capability is very nice and shutter response is good enough. You can use up to 30,000 times, then you have to bring this to service...

fifteen feet was pushing the max...
Strengths: worked as advertised
Weakness: almost too small, got lost in camera bag the first day.
fifteen feet was pushing the max distance but i guess that is as far as i'll ever use. would like to use the remote from other angles to take some wildlife pictures.

Pentax Remote Control E
Strengths: This is one of the smallest remotes I have ever used but in spite of its size, it is easy to use and can be palmed so it doesn't show in the photo. Great little remote!
Weakness: For some with large hands it could be a problem but generally speaking has no real weaknesses.
The Pentax Optio S5Z didn't come with a remote which was disappointing. However, I was very pleased to find out that I was able to obtain one from PriceGrabber at a great price! Will be using it on our upcoming cruise on April 15th.
