Strengths: Provides long use.
Weakness: More expensive than third party products.
I have purchased third party batteries in the past for other cameras and found that generally they do not hold a charge as well and provide less useable time with the camera. The third party batteries are significantly less expensive but my experience has been that in this case you get what you pay for. I use my Panasonic FZ-50 almost every day.
