Weakness: red-eye reduction feature does not always work. Long shutter delay.

After just 18 months the camera is no good. It now makes a clicking noise when it's turned on trying to adjust the shutter in and out. It was working just fine and then it wasn't. I am very disappointed. This was my first experience with a digital. After paying over $200 for this camera, I certainly expected it to last longer than 18 months.

I LOVE this camera! I initially purchased it because of the excellent price, but as I've used it, I really like the camera itself. It's fairly self explanatory, and has many options, such as zoom, stability, night, portrait, frames, etc. I've played around with the camera some, and have enjoyed the quality of the photos that I've taken. It's also easy to explain to someone else how to use, for the times when you want to be in the photo yourself. I would definitely recommend this to someone else if they were considering purchasing it.

Strengths: Small, compact camera body. Great way to access the menu with each of the functions clearly labelel on the dial. Menu is easy to understand and maneuver.

Weakness: The red eye feature is not the best on some of my photos. Time to "reset" for the next picture is just OK.

I generally like this camera and would recommend it to others. I wish the camera came with better internal memory for taking a few pictures. I did buy the 1GB xD card so this should be fine but I think it's a bit of a drawback for the sale of the product. The compact size was the seller for me and I also really like the "flat" LCD screen.

i had gotten this camera as a gift and i thought that it was the coolest thing but i soon found that the battery life sucked and the zoom wasn't as great as some of my other cameras and it kept turning off on me. i would be in the middle of taking pictures and it would just turn off and the pic or video that i was taking wouldn't save! i tried everything, to include buying a new battery, and nothing worked! plus the zoom isn't as great as i had thought, it was very blurry and dark, even if the flash was suppose to be on. also i would have to recharge the battery almost every hour and this made going to places like amusement parks very hard when you could only take a few pictures. it also takes a very long time to get your full battery life back. over all i would NOT recommend this product, Olympus kind of sold you short on this product, so don't waste your money.

Add to that the fact that xD cards are not widely used in other handheld devices and you will find that you have more invested in this little rig than you might have planned.
