I thought this AC adapter would be a better alternative and would be handy for when I hook up the camera to a TV for slide and video shows.

It works as advertised and it is easy to use. It comes in three separate pieces that plug together. The cord is plenty long for far-away wall outlets--but, as a result, won't fit into smaller camera bags.

I recommend this adapter for people who favor the convenience of disposable batteries for their camera. I wouldn't recommend this adapter if you're buying rechargeable AA's.
