Canon off camera flash cord
Strengths: Canon compatibility/quality
Weakness: price
Well what is there to say? This cord allows you to reliably shoot off-camera flash up to 3 or 4 feet. It's worked fine for me. The only downside is the price.

Useful Shoe Extension
The springy cord is durable and wound pretty tight. Good for use with a Flash Bracket, but too short for use on a stand mounted strobe. I also like the weather protection and locking feature.

OC-E3
Strengths: easy on
Weakness: Breaks easily
trying to get canon to fix this item without spending 25 dollars is impossible. i laid the camera down and the clam shell that supports the flash broke. the older units had screws that compltly went through both halves and then had hex nuts attaching the two halfs. this design has molded screw gallies that holds the upper half when the screws are in place. all four four of these gallies broke...

Overpriced and didn't last a year
Strengths: it fits my 5D, 580 ex.
Weakness: the cord is malfunctioning just like the cheap $20.00 sync cords I have bought in the past only I could have bought 4 of them for the price of this one.
I used this cord less then 20 times in less then a year and now it doesn't work! it's just an expensive paperweight. Holding down some paper and the garbage dump. $80.00

Good Cord
Strengths: Nicely build, no recoils.
Weakness: None. I would love to have a different color one, if it was available.
This piece is also a part of my underwater photography set. I am very happy about the general feel and easy use of the cord. It is very well build, and doesn't look like it will loose its shape (like cheap telephone cords). Good product.
