MS-MT8G - Successor To MSX-M8GS

Strengths: Fast Write Speed of 32Mbps, Storage Size

Weakness: High price compared to other non-proprietary media cards.

I purchased this card to use with my Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder. With the camcorder set at the highest quality setting of AVCHD 16M(FH), it holds about 1 hour of video. The write speed is faster then the older cards at 32Mbps minimum and 160Mbps maximum in parallel transfer. I copied a couple video clips from the internal hard drive to the card and it transfered in a few seconds. Note - To use the...

As Advertised!

Strengths: Great shape, works great!

Weakness: None that I know of!

I was very pleased to have been able to find such a great deal! I bought this for my husband as an anniversary gift, and he couldn't be happier with it. Thanks!

Genuine Sony Works 100%

Strengths: Genuine Sony Product - works 100% - taken 100s of pics and works great with my Sony HCR-11 for AVCHD and MPEG2

Weakness: none

Don't fall for fake Sony cards. There are lots of these fakes on ebay; sometimes hard to detect. My pics and videos are worth the extra $50 for the genuine product.

Great for use with PSP

Strengths: large storage capacity, fast write speeds

Weakness: expensive compared to 4 GB and smaller capacity memory sticks

I purchased this Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo for use with my PSP and overall I am very pleased with it. It gives me more than enough space to store my save data, downloadable games and demos, video, and music. I went with 8 GB so I could keep a decent amount of music on it so that my PSP could double as my portable music player. The card offers plenty of room and writes and reads fast. I do wish it...

A Useful Size for Video recording

Strengths: Now a size large enough to record high quality video

Weakness: Still expensive

This memory now allows me to record high quality 640 X 480 30fps video for 1 3/4 hrs on my digital camera. Other smaller sizes didn't allow enough time to capture video for me.

Video Recording

Strengths: Fast enough to record video

Weakness: Only can be used on a Sony product

The memory stick is the new MARK2 version, meaning it is certified to work with the new video cameras that record to flash memory. The memory needs to be faster to record to it hence the MARK2 version. It's still useful for any normal Sony camera, maybe a bit quicker than the regular memory. There really isn't much to say about this memory, it does come with the adapter if you need it to be the...

Memory stick PRO duo

Strengths: good, fast

Weakness: price

I bought first one month ago and I am looking for second one. It is pretty fast fella. It's very tempting. I will definitely recommend this card to my friends. Good quality, good money.

Great Card

Strengths: fast transfer high capacity

Weakness: price (unless you get a deal)

Usually these cards are a bit on the expensive side, making the 4gb version more worthwhile, but I use this for my PSP and would like to have as much space on one card as possible for convenience sake. I wouldn't pay $80-$90 like most sites sell it for. If you have patience you can find deals (Got mine for $60 at Fry's after tax and shipping). Since it's a Mark 2, the card has a fast write speed,...
