Strengths: Order of magnitude better picture quality than anything else, 3d effect amazing, amazing resolution, contrast, brightness, flush wall mount, redefines how we watch home theater
Weakness: None in picture. Controls could be faster, auto-motion setting and picture mode should have buttons on remote control (programmable?), Can't wait for larger screens, someday 80"...
Picture quality is jax dropping. After many years of 1080p/24 and 120Hz, the 8000 is an order of magnitude better. It also beats every picture I've seen on any TV in any store, including the $6k plasmas by far. 1080i from cable HD (and 30 year old blurays) beats any bluray from other TV's (mine and seen in stores) by far in 3d effect and picture quality, and blu-ray on the 8000 is a class ahead...
