Description:
The FZ35 records HD movies with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. It uses the AVCHD Lite format (MPEG-4/H.264) to achieve higher image quality while storing less data than the conventional Motion JPEG. Plus, the FZ35 is equipped with an HDMI output terminal for direct transmission of digital image and sound signals. Just connect the camera to an HDTV using a single HDMI mini cable for fast and easy slideshow enjoyment.

Great camera
Strengths: Image Quality,manual controls,zoom
Weakness: burst mode restrictions
This is my third Panasonic camera(fz7,fz18) I have been very happy with all of them and have had no problems whatsoever out of them! But this FZ35 really takes the cake lots of user friendly features, a very good camera there is really nothing bad I can say about it!

NOTHING THIS WON'T DO
Strengths: This is such a dramatic improvement over the 6mp, 12x version that you can't compare them. I bought this because I have trips planned to South America and Africa and don't want to miss anything.
Weakness: Only drawback I see is that the lens hood doesn't reverse onto to lens when it's not being used.
I ordered this camera from Beach Camera and couldn't have asked for a better price and better, faster service. Promised in 10 days, delivered in three! I've got to practice some more but so far it's all that I need to capture some pretty amazing shots of action, scenery and micro-shots. It's predecessor did great last year in Italy, Turkey and Greece so I expect even greater shots from this baby.

Finally, a total camera with all the expectations...
Strengths: The Lumix DMC-FZ35K opens a window on the world. The clarity of subject, fantastic! The ease of use, the owners manual and all accessories, easy to understand. Great Camera!!
Weakness: A shame there is no flash shoe, the pop up flash is just okay. Macro could be better, as telephoto. Pictures are really sharp and full of detail. For the price, terrific!
Being a world traveler, I like to travel light, and the DMC-FZ35K fits that bill. I look forward to the challenge, and the results that Panasonic has given me, using this camera. I publish livinginhd.com Under Albert Gard, if you would like to have a look.

Great camera
Strengths: intuitive design, excellent Leica lens, 12x zoom, easy to use movie making
Weakness: movies will run until they hit 2GB. This is unfortunate. I use a 32GB card and would much prefer to have the option of when to stop my movie making rather than the arbitrarily assigned 2GB limit.
I travel outside the US 5 months each year and rely on a camera for my work. In the past I owned 5 Kodak models, 1 Canon and this is my 6th Panasonic Lumix. Yes, I'm hard on cameras, plus I have had a couple stolen, left one behind in a restaurant, etc. I love Lumix's. They are very intuitive, great photo quality and reasonably priced.

Strengths: flexibility and weight compared to SLR cameras
Weakness: size
I have had the camera for the month and so far I have been very pleased with the performance. Dealing with Abes of Maine was very pleasant and I would recommend their web page to anyone.
