This camera body delivers a well balance mix of dedicated customizable controls, logical design, quality construction and a feature rich menu system that I find easy to use without insulting my intelligence. I consider myself a control freak, the D7000 gives me the power to control how the camera controls operate. As I was setting this camera up, using the supplied manual, I was pleasantly surprised to learn how much control I now have. For example; White Balance, to a guy like me, who has been shooting with film most of his life, having the ability to change your white balance, at will, is a miracle. This Nikon has 2 auto white balance settings and 12 preset options, all of which can be easily fine tuned if you desire, plus the ability to capture, name and store up to 5 custom white balance settings. I've been taking a lot of random test and the images look so good on my computer I can't delete them even though they are just test shots! The colors look very natural, the sharpness is fantastic (Nikkor AF-S DX MICRO 40mmf2.8G Lens), and the contrast is awesome. Super Camera! "
