Trust your camera to Canon quality
I was using a cheap $12.00 knock-off as a backup for my SX40 HS and it stopped holding a charge after only six months. The NB-10L is more expensive, but it's the real deal and will last much, much longer. I've decided that it's not worth saving a few doll

Only source to purchase -very greatful!!
I like to have at least 4 charged back up batteries in my camera bag when I photograph any gathering, these lithium seem to hold a charge longer than my pervious camera and batteries and I am able to tend to my task longer.
